The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office now has a digitized form for requesting funeral escorts.
All requests for funeral escorts must be received at least 24 hours in advance. Also, they must be submitted no later than 5pm Monday through Friday. All requests for funeral escorts are subject to approval by the Sheriff and/or his designee. At the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, we do our very best to serve our community and pay our respects to grieving families by providing this service at no cost to the county's citizens. However, there are times when emergencies arise that will pull our deputies away from the funeral escort. We apologize in advance if this happens!
We understand that when scheduling a deputy escort, you cannot predict when a funeral service will end. However, it is the Sheriff's Office policy that the deputy will stand-by for 30 minutes and after that time the deputy will clear up and return to their normal duties.
