Interstate Criminal Enforcement
The Interstate Criminal Enforcement Team or "ICE" Team consist of three members, the Sgt. in charge and two
patrolman, one of which is a K-9 handler. The Team reports directly to the Investigations Captain.
They are responsible for investigation of criminal activity relating to highways and interstate corridors
throughout the County. This includes commercial as well as passenger vehicles. Investigations include
smuggling of bulk U.S. Currency and bulk shipments of narcotics, as well as illegal immigrants engaged in criminal
activity, and known or suspected terrorist.
The team was formed February 16, 2004 and since that time the Team has seized $1.3 million in U.S. Currency, 28.6
lbs of Cocaine, 10.4 lbs of Methamphetamine, 64 lbs of Marijuana, 2,954 Ecstasy tablets and $3,000 in stolen
property recovered. There have been 24 illegal immigrants deported and 1 known terrorist turned over to the
